In The News

The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce and members of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee will host incumbents and candidates running for the offices of Governor and Lt. Governor to take part in coffee hours with members of the local business community. The series will take place at Innovate Newport beginning on July 16th and continue each Thursday into September.

The Greater Newport Chamber is dedicated to bringing government officials to Newport by facilitating in-person events including the quarterly Politics & Pancakes series, as well as opportunities for business owners and professionals to connect with candidates each election cycle.

“The Greater Newport Chamber is committed to ensuring our members have meaningful opportunities to engage directly with the leaders who want to represent them,” said Erin Donovan-Boyle, President & CEO of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce. “These conversations give candidates the chance to hear firsthand about the issues facing our business community while providing our members with valuable insight into the priorities and vision of those seeking elected office. An informed business community is essential to a strong local economy and healthy democracy.”
