Innovate Newport is teaming up with the Photo Guild of Newport to present a curated photography exhibit aimed at blending art with the city’s entrepreneurial community.

The exhibit, titled “Visions of Newport County,” will be displayed on the third floor of Innovate Newport’s coworking space and will include an opening reception. The partnership positions the coworking hub as a cultural gathering place where creativity and business intersect.

“We recognize the positive impact art and culture has on fostering an entrepreneurial community, and we look forward to launching this new initiative and future collaboration with the Guild,” said Erin Donovan-Boyle, president and CEO of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.

The Photo Guild of Newport, founded in 1960, is one of the region’s longest-standing photography organizations. It offers education, exhibition opportunities, mentorship, critique sessions and artistic collaboration to photographers across Newport County.

Donovan-Boyle credited Innovate Newport Community Manager Olya Myers with developing the partnership.

“Being responsive to our tenants and members, as well as the broader community, is a unique gift that Olya possesses and has led to these wonderful placemaking initiatives,” Donovan-Boyle said.

Innovate Newport, supported by the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce and the City of Newport, provides coworking and private office space while hosting business events and networking opportunities for the region’s entrepreneurs and innovators.
