Rhode Island Attorney General Neronha to speak at Newport Chamber event
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Neronha will speak at the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly Politics & Pancakes event Dec. 11.
The breakfast event, hosted in partnership with the Pell Center at Salve Regina University, will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at 518 Bellevue Ave. Bally’s Corporation is sponsoring the series.
“We are looking forward to hosting AG Neronha as our keynote speaker at our Q4 Politics and Pancakes event,” said Erin Donovan-Boyle, president and CEO of the Greater Newport Chamber. “The AG has been heavily involved in many of the top issues impacting our state and our residents from healthcare and prescription drug reform to environmental justice and public safety.”
Donovan-Boyle said Neronha has also been active in multistate coalitions suing the federal government.
“We look forward to hearing more about these issues and how they impact our regional economy,” she said.
The Politics & Pancakes series brings government officials and leaders to the area for speaking programs and panel discussions on issues of importance to the local business community. Each year, the series welcomes the governor, members of the General Assembly, members of the Congressional delegation and others to speak on policy issues impacting Rhode Islanders.
Tickets include admission and a full buffet breakfast. Guests can network before and after the speaking program.
Free on-site parking is available. Advanced registration is required at NewportChamber.com/events. Tickets are $50 for chamber members and $60 for nonmembers.
