Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce to conduct
Sixth Annual Business Walk on Friday, October 24th
Newport County, RI – The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, with Connect Greater Newport, the regional economic development division of the chamber, will be hosting its sixth annual Business Walk on Friday, October 24th from 10:00am to 1:00pm to meet with business owners in Newport County and gather their input on the region’s business climate.
Erin Donovan-Boyle, President and CEO of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are looking forward to this impactful event this year! It is always a pleasure to get out in the community to hear directly from business leaders about how business is going and to make connections direct connections with government representatives, community leaders, and state officials in an effort to improve the regional business climate.”
Volunteers, divided into small teams of interviewers, will visit local businesses for these in-person conversations. Stakeholders from all levels of government, along with business and community leaders, will hear directly from businesses as they are invited to share thoughts, questions, suggestions, and issues of concern.
Information collected from the interviews will be developed into a report with recommendations that will be shared with all participants, government officials, business leaders and the broader community to help shape policies and priorities to improve the business climate in the region.
