Please join us for a public workshop for the Aquidneck Island and Naval Station Newport Compatible Use Study. The study is evaluating opportunities to improve transportation, land use and water-related infrastructure as the installation and the Island community evolves over the next several years.
The Newport County Development Council, in partnership with the towns of Middletown and Portsmouth and the City of Newport is leading this study with our consultants at Stantec.

What: Aquidneck Island and NAVSTA Compatible Use Study Public Workshop
When: Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 from 6-8pm
Where: Newport County Campus - Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI)
This public workshop will discuss the challenges and opportunities that have been identified in prior planning efforts. Attendees will be able to provide input on identified potential project and policy solutions which could better support the quality of life on the Island and throughout the region. The project team will use feedback from the workshop to guide analysis and develop recommendations.
