NEWPORT — Innovate Newport is appealing to more part-time coworkers than full-time, new individual membership numbers show.
Figures provided by the center for entrepreneurs, independent professionals, and small businesses in the renovated school building at 513 Broadway show a total of 79 coworkers, excluding the 39 employees working at the five office suite tenants.
Seven part-time members and one full-time signed up in the month of June. In May, there were four part-timers and one full-timer and in April, six part-timers and three full-time coworkers joined. There are 17 more coworkers who have dedicated desks in a large room on the second floor, which now has as waiting list. Community members can use the center one day a month.
