NEWPORT — The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce has named Isabel Marsh as Business Outreach Specialist working with the chamber's Regional Economic Development division and the stakeholders of Connect Greater Newport. She will support efforts to develop effective strategies for regional economic, workforce and ecosystem development.
In her new role, Marsh will lead direct outreach to businesses through interviews and the annual Business Walk. She will capture data and insights to improve the understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses that will inform the regional strategic plan.
A key part of her job will be to act as a navigator helping to connect businesses to the many resources available from COVID-19 recovery programs to services to start, expand or relocate to the area.
Most recently, Marsh was project manager for the Chamber’s Shop Greater Newport campaign. She launched the new digital directory ShopGreaterNewport.com promoting local businesses and encouraging consumers to shop at small businesses in the region.
She is the owner of a small business, Marsh Digital Marketing LLC, and has worked with organizations to develop and implement marketing strategy since relocating to Rhode Island in 2015. “As a small business owner myself, I look forward to working with our partners to find ways to streamline the process to help businesses thrive in our region.”
Isabel also serves on the Board of Directors of Aquidneck Community Table whose mission is to create a more accessible and resilient food economy for all in the community.
