    Schedule: 2nd SHIFT Full time – Part time

    Program: Residential Program

    We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our growing team assisting adults in our Residential Home located in Middletown.

    We provide all of the training and certificates to assist you in your growth as a valued employee


    • Providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities while fostering independence through active participation
    • Maintaining and enhancing each client’s right to dignity and respect while supporting choices
    • Promoting a healthy and safe environment and making positive contributions to this environment
    • Ensuring overall safety and well-being for all clients
    • Maintaining an environment that is free from any type of abuse, neglect, mistreatment or any other human rights violation
    • Engaging in and promoting quality services for persons with developmental disabilities
    • Supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to access the community in a variety of settings
    • Work closely with the Residential Nurse to support clients with medication administration and other related duties.
    • Fostering an atmosphere and environment of healthy living
    • Adhering to the agency’s policy and procedures
    • Participation in all required agency training
    • Ability to lift, bend and transfer when supporting clients
    • Providing personal care/hygiene support
    • Promoting a productive work environment
    • Performing a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment
    • Reasonably anticipated to have exposure to blood/body fluid
    • Maintaining a positive and respectful attitude toward supervisors and colleagues.
    • Following through on directions and communicating effectively
    • Mandatory requirement to participate in all regularly scheduled and emergency staff and team meetings
    • Responsible for participating in, and contributing to the overall stewardship of the program
    • Taking the initiative and demonstrating leadership potential
    • Documenting clearly, legibly, objectively and promptly on all required forms, log books and paperwork as required by state regulations and agency policy and procedure
    • All other responsibilities judged to be reasonable and fundamental for the necessary supports of an individual with a developmental disability under their care by the Home Manager, Supervisor, the Residential Director or Executive Director

    Acceptable Qualifications and Experience:

    • Shift differentials on selective shifts
    • Flexibility & Dependability
    • Ability to work in a team oriented setting
    • Good oral and written communication skills required
    • Ability to follow direction
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • A favorable National Criminal Background check
    • Clear OIG (Office of Inspector General)
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
