    Newport Vineyards is looking for a Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef with on-site restaurants and catering.

    We are looking for a bright, driven, positive candidate to add to our Back of House team. Must have a passion for food and beverage, with a focus on sustainability with a desire to learn more. The menus we want to create will be New England based all made from native seasonal offerings. We want awesome thinkers, movers, shakers and creators.

    Tasks include but are not limited to assisting with menu creation, daily specials, train and mentor all culinary staff, food costing, purchasing, providing direction to other members of the kitchen team, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and organization and produce a quality product our guests will enjoy. Also the sous chef will be responsible for the operations of the kitchen in the Chef’s absence. Catering experience a plus.

    • Must have food handler’s certificate
    • Work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
    • Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
