ROOT - A busy cafe serving salads, sandwiches, juices, and smoothies, is now hiring immediately for year round applicants.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate MUST be highly organized, very self motivated, and keep a calm and friendly demeanor under pressure. An ability to take initiative and be a self starter is crucial for the position.

In addition to taking orders and providing superb customer service, the position entails making menu items and restocking fresh cut fruit and veggies. Cooking experience isn't necessary for the job, but some degree of knife skills are. If you are an avid home cook and like to stay busy, you'll fit right in!

We pride ourselves in having a clean restaurant so maintaining a clean work space as well as daily cleaning of surfaces and floors as well as dishes are a mandatory part of the job. We have daily deliveries of inventory too, so the ability to lift around 30 lbs is a must.

Who we are:

We are a small plant based juice bar and restaurant owned by a local Newport couple! We are open for breakfast and lunch and serve freshly made juice, smoothies, smoothie bowls, coffee, tea, salads, and sandwiches.

Pay and benefits:
Base pay plus tips. Minimum guarantee of 18 per hour with base plus tips. Wage average varies and is often higher depending on shifts and season.

In addition to competitive wages, our employees also enjoy a shift meal while at work and 30 % off if they choose to come grab some food on their day off!
