The Bus Person is responsible for assisting the servers in providing the highest quality service possible to guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation. The Bus Person must ensure that all tables are kept clean and presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware and linen.

This position would start on approximately 05/20/2020

Job Requirements:

• Bus tables according to standard, including removing dirty glasses, dishes, silverware, teapots, coffeepots and other serving dishes from tables.
• Assist servers in clearing tables during service and provide service to guests in waiter’s absence as needed.
• Clean debris from tables, floors, chairs and side stations throughout shift, using proper equipment, cloths and sanitizer.
• Fill and refill water glasses when needed.
• Along with co-workers, complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist examples of which will include:
• Stock side stations with proper amounts of silverware, glasses, cups, folded napkins, etc.
• Carefully and properly stack heavy trays. .
• Reset table after every use.
• Set up receptacles for trash and dirty linen.
• Transport clean and soiled linens as required.
• Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Minimum of 2 years restaurant experience

Skills and Abilities: Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.

Must work well in stressful, high pressure situation

Must be effective at listening and understanding
