WHO WE ARE

Paradigm Escape Rooms is located in Newport Rhode Island and has two exciting games: The King's Tomb and Da Vinci’s Test. Our game rooms are fully immersive and highly technical “Generation 2” escape rooms that have been designed to provide captivating and seamless gameplay to our customers. We have created a facility, inspired by Newport, that is the culmination of art, engineering, and theater. As we head into our second year, we are seeking enthusiastic people to join our wonderful team.

THE JOB

No escape room is complete without a Game Master. It is the Game Master’s responsibility to set the tone of the players’ experience by acting as an engaging host, actor, and guide. A great GM is one that can stay committed to their character from the game’s start, to its finish, while simultaneously actively listening, observing, and offering direction to the players as needed. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and good public speaking are all keys to performing this role successfully.

We are seeking individuals to work part time who can commit to a minimum of 3 shifts a week. Scheduling is flexible and hours of operation will vary by season. Summer hours vary Monday-Sunday from 12pm to 10/11pm.

Acting experience is not necessary but helpful.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Acting as a character for the entirety of every booking.

-Detailed room resets and ensuring functionality for optimum experience for the customer.

-Watching games and providing customers with the directions that they might need to move on to the next part of their challenge.

- Educating customers about our escape rooms, booking online reservations, and tailoring solutions to their needs.

- Communicating with customers via phone and email.

- Providing technical and troubleshooting support on issues that might come up and being

resourceful and forward thinking.

- Responding to customer emails by using appropriate and professional language.

-Cleaning and maintenance of facility

- Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
