Location: Middletown, RI
Department: Quality Assurance
General Business Hours: M-F 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Shift: 8 hours, M-F.
Managed by (Title): Director of Compliance / VP
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
FLSA Status: Exempt

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems Experience
- Experience: This is an entry level role requesting 0-2 years of Mortgage Underwriting, QC and/or post –closing auditing experience. Having working knowledge of loan programs & agency quality control requirements is a plus. High school diploma or above is required for consideration.
- Skills: The Quality Control Analyst will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that the mortgage loan processes meet company, industry, state and federal standards and guidelines.
- Systems: Proficiency with Microsoft Teams – Ability to use Microsoft Teams on a daily basis for collaboration, communication, document sharing and other various tasks. Proficiency navigating and using Outlook, Word and Excel in order to attend virtual meetings, create appointments with clients and record or manipulate customer data
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review and conduct audit of loan files to determine the integrity of the data found therein.
· Recalculate ratios, analyze appraisal and title reports, re-verify third party information.
· Analyze net benefit factors, and assess potential for fraudulent data.
· Review application procedures, loan contracts and appraisals to determine non-compliant operations and/or documents details.
· Monitor and ensure procedures regarding mortgage loans are being met according to company, industry, state and federal guidelines and policies.
· Performing such duties and assuming other responsibilities as may be assigned.
MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS
- Working knowledge of loan programs and agency quality control requirements.
- Familiarity with FHLMC/FNMA/FHLB seller guidelines
- Familiarity with FHA/VA Guidelines
· Attention to Detail – Confirm, validate and ensure accuracy of information prior to submitting or completing assignments in order to maintain current on company and federal standards.
· Time Management – Manage daily workload to ensure that deadlines are met on or before due date in order to keep the pipeline flowing properly.
· Collaboration – Work seamlessly with others on QA team or across other departments in order to complete daily tasks and/or perform routine audits.
· Judgement and Decision Making – Detect and report suspicious activity to prevent fraudulent claims and comply with all laws.
· Communication Skills – Provide clear, verbal and written documentation to customers and teammates to ensure that costly and timely mistakes are avoided.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
