Overview:
Performs a variety of loan closing duties in support of the marine lending activities in conformance with established bank policies and procedures.
This is a hybrid position, with a minimum requirement of three days in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and independent loan originator representatives.
- Inputs loan data and requests and ensures the receipt of required verifications and other various supporting
- Communicates with the applicant, sales representatives, boat dealerships, underwriting team and other vendors to coordinate these details in a timely manner, being mindful of closing deadlines.
- Reviews condition and value survey reports; orders and understands the results of title searches; calculates loan pay-offs; research’s Coast Guard, State and Federal guidelines needed to perfect the lender’s lien and be in compliance with stated guidelines.
- Works closely with sales representatives from approval through clear to close to ensure that all stipulations/conditions of the approval have been met.
- Distributes loan packages to appropriate borrowers/representatives. Receives and reviews signed documents before sending to funding for final review and disbursement, obtains any outstanding funding stipulations notifies buyer/dealer of wire confirmation.
- Monitors pending loan files to ensure compliance with applicable bank policies, procedures and regulatory
- Keeps abreast of developments within the marine lending field. Attends relevant courses and seminars when required.
- Performs any functions necessary, within the scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of customer service to our customers/correspondent banks and third party relationships.
- Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of bank guidelines and policies as well as all applicable laws and regulations related to marine lending in order to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and integrity in all internal and external interactions with colleagues, customers and vendors.

Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school or its equivalent plus specialized course work and
At least three years of experience in consumer/marine
A demonstrated understanding of loan procedures and regulatory requirements and some ability to analyze and interpret personal, corporate and partnership tax returns and financial statements.
Proven organizational, oral and written communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.
