    ACCOUNTING/HR MANAGER


    Job summary: The Accounting/HR Manager is responsible for running the day to day operations of the KFA office, that includes all accounting and human resource tasks, to ensure that the Designers have the maximum time available for creativity, project management and new business development.

    General Responsibilities

    Accounting: Includes managing daily cash flows, account receivables, account payables, monthly client invoicing, reimbursables, yearly forecasting/budgeting, reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards, monthly financial reporting, managing purchase authorizations and purchase orders, ongoing assessment of insurance coverage, and year end coordination with outside accountants. Performs other related duties as necessary. Reports directly to Katherine Field.

    Human Resources: Plans, directs, and carries out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity, including processing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining employee files, IRA/401K processing, new employee orientation, keeping records of insurance coverage, and personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions and terminations. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. Advanced degree is a plus.

    Knowledge and work experience in accounting or financial management.

    Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel.

    Experience with financial software (i.e. Quickbooks)

    Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

    Proof of vaccination for Covid 19.

    Ability to work both as an effective team member and independently

    Excellent organization/time management skills

    Attention to detail and ability to multitask

    Self-motivated with a desire to work within a small business environment

    Experience with design professionals a plus

    This position is part-time, hourly, approximately 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday. A hybrid location schedule is possible for remote or in-office time as needed. Scheduling is also flexible. Salary is competitive and conditional based on experience and education level.
