Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Providence
We need your help.
Almost everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some
way. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in
women in the US (excluding skin cancer) and is second only to
lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in women.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer walk unites communities to support each other. We
honor those touched by the disease and raise awareness and
funds as we take steps closer to a world without breast cancer.
Each year, more than one million passionate participants
support our noncompetitive three- to five-mile walks held in
more than 250 communities nationwide.
Dollars raised by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
supporters help the American Cancer Society ensure no one
faces breast cancer alone by funding innovative breast cancer
research, promoting education and risk reduction, and providing
comprehensive patient support to those who need it most.
Be our champion.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Team Leaders serve as
champions in the fight against breast cancer. They inspire and
motivate those around them to join their team and donate
to their efforts. On event day, Team Leaders unite their team
members and walk with their community as a unified force
dedicated to helping us save lives from breast cancer.
Join us today!
With our collective power, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
participants can make the greatest impact to save lives and
ensure no one faces breast cancer alone. Register at www.MakingStridesWalk.org/ProvidenceRI.
