Newport’s public transportation and visitor
information hub is
the Gateway Center at 23 America’s Cup Avenue in downtown Newport.
RIPTA makes exploring the City-by-the-Sea a breeze. RIPTA provides
trolley and bus service to attractions throughout Newport, including the
mansions, Cliff Walk, beaches, Fort Adams, downtown Newport, the Gateway
Center, and more. Riders can choose to either buy a day pass at the
Gateway Center or pay as they go. RIPTA riders pay just $2 for all-day
parking at the Gateway Center and receive discounts to many area
attractions, including mansion and harbor tours.
