Senator Whitehouse to announce new funding received for his National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund
We are excited for the press conference taking place Monday morning at a great Chamber member, Thrive Coffee House 706 Park Ave in Portsmouth, with Senator Whitehouse and leaders of the Town of Portsmouth.
The event will take place at 10:30 AM and highlight the attributes of the National Ocean and Coastal Security Fund that may help the small businesses in the island Park community.
Senator Whitehouse will be announcing the good news about his National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund receiving $30 million in funding in last week’s omnibus. This is the first round of funding the program has received since being created.
The National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund was designed to support research, restoration, and resiliency of coastal ecosystems and communities, including readying coastal roads and bridges for sea level rise and severe weather.
