This month, we welcome and introduce our Board member, Erin Littlewood! Erin is the Director Business Development at Newport Hospital.
Q. What was your primary motivation for becoming a member of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce?
A. It’s important to be connected to the business community and the Newport County Chamber of Commerce affords a wealth of opportunities to do just that. Whether it’s the Women in Business after hours events or the Economic Luncheons, I’m glad to be able to participate and network.
Q. What do you find most interesting about your business or industry?
A. The healthcare industry is constantly changing, so it’s a fast-paced environment. But at the same time, we have to keep the patient at the center of what we do every day. We truly do deliver health with care.
Q. How has your membership with the Newport County Chamber of Commerce helped to advance your business or industry?
A. Participation at events like the Business Expo as well as serving on the board has allowed me to get to know people and build relationships. It’s an opportunity for me to make the hospital more visible and accessible. It’s also a way for me to learn more about how others perceive the hospital.
Q. What is your favorite Newport County Chamber of Commerce event or program?
A. I love the Annual Women in Business luncheon- it’s a great event, beautiful venue, great speakers and there’s always an interesting presentation.
Q. What do you hope to bring to the Newport County Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member in 2017?
A. I hope to offer ideas on helping the Chamber grow and thrive. We’ve got good energy and momentum but we are always looking ahead on how we can provide more value to our membership.
