Serving Newport County and the East Bay since 1920, the Newport County Chamber of Commerce is headquartered at 35 Valley Road in Middletown. The Chamber of Commerce helps its members succeed through legislative advocacy,economic development, education, savings, networking and increased visibility.
The Chamber’s 1,100 member companies and organizations make it the second largest Chamber in Rhode Island. The Newport County Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic membership organization rich in history and comprised of a diverse number of industries.

Resource(s) Available: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration has launched a helpful new Web portal to help job seekers match their current skills to new careers and find out what training is needed to transition from one job to another. This new online tool is called “mySkillsmyFuture” and can be accessed at http://www.myskillsmyfuture.org/. Users will be able to view local job postings and locate training and education providers. They also will be able to find descriptions, salary information and common job tasks associated with a new occupation.
